Julfi Hadi

Julfi Hadi has over 30 years of extensive experience in the geothermal industry. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Geology from the University of Texas, USA. He began his career as an Exploration Geologist and received the Best Earth Scientist Award early on. Julfi has successfully executed numerous major project acquisitions and developed effective well-targeting strategies, including tariff adjustments and field expansions. He has played a key role in several significant geothermal projects, including Darajat Unit-2 & 3 resulted in the best well average output in the world at the time (18 MW/Well), Wayang Windu Unit-2 (110 MW) resulted in the highest productivity drilling average in the world (23 MW/Well), the IJEN Project (2 x 30 MW), and Sarulla Operation Ltd. (3 x 110 MW). In 2022, he completed the Senior Leadership Development Program from Harvard Business Corporate Learning.
Julfi has held several key positions throughout his career, including SVP Geothermal Assets at PT Medco Power Indonesia (2019 – 2023) and President Director at PT Medco Cahaya Geothermal (2019 – 2023). He is currently the President Director at PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk, overseeing a 1 GW project to be achieved by 2026, which includes Hululais Unit-1 & 2 (110 MW), Lumut Balai Unit-2 (55 MW), and 230 MW Co-Generation Projects spread across existing assets. Julfi also serves as the Chairman of the Indonesia Geothermal Association.
